Is the Game of thrones book, released with the tv series, with Sean Bean on the front, on the iron throne, the same as A Game of Thrones, Book 1 in the series?

Yes there are the same.



When the book was released back in 1994 or 1996 I don't remember it was released with certain book cover. Several editions later the golden cover with the dragon head was released. And now when the book became more popular because of the tv series. They released another edition with Sean Bean on the cover so the viewers knew that that was the book the show was based on.Is the Game of Thrones book, the same as book 1 in the series?
