i read all the books a while back and absolutely love them! i have a circle of friends who are mad on the whole thing and we even play the board game occasionally ha ha! (good fun!) i remember when news got round that they were filming the series and we waited in eager anticipation to see if it would deliver, it being such a complex and character driven tale... and i believe it did! the actors they chose were great imo... i especially liked Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) (he's cool in the book anyway) and of course the character of Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage). Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was also pretty cool and i loved Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister. Jaime Lannister ( Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) was good, it'll be interesting to see how his character develops (and boy it does!) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) is ace and very foxy ha ha! and the rest were great as well but those stood out for me.
i look forward to seeing how the characters progress in the future series. i'm keeping an eye on Tyrion, Jaime, Arya, Catelyn and Jon he he ;)
ba: probably Eddard Stark in this first part. an honest down to earth fella and a good father... who sticks to his word and his honour in the face of all kinds of adversity. a great character!
bba: i don't hate any of them ha ha! though 'Littlefinger' deserves a slap :)
* try to read all the current books before the series continues! believe me this show has been... granted, excellent... but it's also the tip of a very big iceberg... the rest of the story is mindblowingly awesome! i haven't read the latest book yet which came out this year. the whole series is easily one of the best books/novels/stories whatever i've ever read!Who Here Loves Game Of Thrones on HBO?

Best show on television, and based on the books, it will only get better.
BQ: Tyrion, of course. He figures prominently in the coming book/season
BQ2: Cersei, havent hated a fictional character so much since Jar Jar.
