i remember reading (around the show's launch) that they kept Snow/and Dany's ages the same relative to each other which would mean he was 14 in the books



-- as I recall all changes from Book to Series were approved by GRR Martin, the author... so my guess is that keeping their relative ages will become a factor as the story unfolds (if it hasn't already done so in the books)How old are Jon Snow, Arya Stark, and Daenerys Targaryen at the beginning of Game of Thrones?
In the book Daenerys is 13, Ayra Stark is 9 and Jon Snow 14.

Ages aren't mentioned in the TV series, but I'd guess Ayra is around 9 while Dany and Jon are intended to be a little older than that.

I'd suggest Dany is at least 16 in the TV series. The actress in 20 something, but the age will have been raised in the show due to the sexual nature of the character same with Jon.

You might be able to work it out (in the TV series), but I can't remember if they say how long Robert has been on the throne since Dany, Jon and Rob were all born around the same time - during the War.
