Its not the only thing they've changed, so far as I know. The finding of the Dire Wolves, how Tyrion is represented etc. But in the end of the day, when has a film/screen-play/t.v. show/serial soap from a book ever stuck true to its source? And why no outrage from the fans? Well, a Dance of Dragons is going to be released this year... after how many years from A Feast for Crows? I bet the fans are either niffed its taken this long for the next in the series to be completed, or they're eagerly anticipating the next installment of the series, rather than mind a directors change or screen writers change to words/places/scenes/dialogue in the t.v. adaptation.Game of Thrones: Wildings to Wildlings?
personally I think wildLings is more natural ala Foundling, yearling etc
That said... is it universally pronounced as wildlings or do only certain people say it that way... ie do the Night's Watch members use one form, while new arrivals to the wall use another
webster has a definition of "wilding" as an Uncultivated plant or a wild animal...
