1) Is Garen the man who was executed by Eddard?



2) Is the fact that Jon got an albino direwolf and Greyjoy said that they die faster in any way significant to the plot? Please just a yes or no answer. But if it's not that direct of an answer then you can elaborate but no spoilers please!



3) What is the connection between the Starks and the Tullys and Targaryn(sp)?



I know you are going to say all the answers are going to come as I read the book but the world is so big and there are so many characters introduced in the beginning that I need some questions answered.

1) Yes.

2) It's significant, but not in the way Greyjoy implies. The albino dies soonest usually because it is set out from the rest of the pack, not because of any actual weakness.

3) This is VERY complicated. Stark and Tully is easy enough. Eddard Stark's older brother was betrothed to Katelyn Tully but died, so Eddard married her in his place. The Targaryens is a major element of the series history. What happened was Eddard's little sister Lyanna was kidnapped by Rhaegar Targaryen. This was the trigger that caused the Baratheons to lead an uprising and overthrow of the Targaryen line.
