George Martin first says it's a trilogy, then a six part, now it's a seven part?
I also read somewhere that he split the fourth book into two, the second part becoming the fifth book?
Is that true?
I just read the first book and I'm really in love with it. I just don't want to read the second one and jsut be totally disappointed when I reach the other sequels. I'm just so confused.
What is he thinking? %26lt;-- not rhetorical. What is the deal with the "Game of Thrones" production?
Too late, You already read the first one, know it's a great book, and now won't stop.
As long as it took him to produce this last book, I have no expectations of a quick delivery of future parts. Who knows why, I think he went a little nuts with his Tv money. I will say that the quality has held up over the series and I regretted not at all re-reading them this summer in anticipation. At this point, I'm just hoping he won't die before the series is completed. What is the deal with the "Game of Thrones" production?
here's the story as I understand it...
when GRRM sat down at the type writer to create the series He intended it to be a Trilogy
-- why a trilogy and not a single book, or a two parter or a quadrilogy IDK...
as he wrote the story , his ideas expanded and he decided to make it a 6 parter... I forget if he had a distinct break , making it technically 2 Trilogies
-- however while writing Book 4 he again was hit with more creativity and 4 ballooned in size demanding a split into 2 books (4 %26amp; 5)
books six and seven are still only in his mind... but he likely has started putting Six on paper; whether or not the ideas for 6 %26amp; 7 stay confined to 2 books is debatable
-- it gets more complicated in that some printings of the books leads them to so thick as to require they be broken into even more books (after so many pages the bindings on paperbacks can only handle being bent so far)
