The game of thrones on HBO?

Does anyone know if the books are like the show and are any good? The game of thrones on HBO?
The show is decently similar to the book(s), meaning that in many instances it sticks quite true to the book(s). Of course, though, there are other instances where the show takes creative liberties, instances where the show leaves out or in some way alters details from the book(s).

If you like the show, I would of course suggest you read the book(s). Overall, I enjoy the show, but I enjoy the book(s) even more. I really do suggest you give the book(s) a try.

Best wishes!
I'm watching the newest episode right now. Yea it's cool. It's kind of weird though, incest, nudity, killing, homosexuality.... your typical mainstream show for today's standards.

If you ever watched Rome on HBO, I think it's better than that and I liked Rome.

I haven't read the books however, since the show aired they have become New York Times best seller. The game of thrones on HBO?
instead of staring at your computer screen, you should fine out yourself..... I like the show because they are all outstanding actors and it is truer to the plot of the first book than most adaptations are. the first season i think will only be the first book. but honestly, you might end up staring at your screen watching the episodes online hbo is too expensive.
George R.R. Martin has been known as a best-selling author for years so yeah the books are good. The originals are almost always better. Martin's up there with Tolkien and Robert Jordan when it comes to epic fantasy series. The game of thrones on HBO?
The books are great. I haven't seen the show since I can't afford HBO.
