Jon Snows mother, of game of thrones?

SPOILIER ALERT I'm reading the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire", and I'm not quite far enough to find out who Jon Snows mother is, if it's revealed anyway. In my opinion, Eddard Stark does not seem like the kind to cheat on Catelyn, So I believe Lyanna Stark is the mother, and Rhaegar Targaryen is the father. Lyanna was raped by prince Rhaegar, and all this happened about the same time line of Jon Snows birth. Any opinions or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!Jon Snows mother, of game of thrones?
SPOILER ALERT. If you notice all of Ned's quotes regarding Jon being his son, he never directly states he is his son. He uses the term that he's his blood often enough. Also, throughout the books, all five, you'll find that Robert Baratheon is one of the only people you find that has a strong negative opinion about Rhaegar. Most everyone else when they mention him thinks he was a decent guy. You also have to take into account that three of the Kingsguard, including the Lord Commander, were present at the Tower of Joy guarding Lyanna when Ned and company confronted them. Why would three of the best Kingsguard be guarding a rape victim who might happen to have a Targ bastard in her? They wouldn't. Their job is to protect the King. Targaryen's have also been known to take on more than one wife, so Jon could possibly not be a bastard at all. Lyanna knew of Roberts way with women, so I believe she went with Rhaegar willingly. Jon is a legitimate Targaryen, and being the son of Rhaegar would have a better claim than Dany. Alas, after five books, the only person who knows of Jon's parentage and the actual events that took place at the Tower of Joy, is Howland Reed, who for five books has been sitting quietly in his home in Greywater Watch. Yea my boyfriend and I believe that Lyanna is the mother of Jon and Rheagar is the father and that this is the promise that Eddard made to her before she died. However, I do not believe that Rheagar raped Lyanna, I believe that she was willing and in love with him. (Rheagar did make Lyanna his Queen of Love and Beauty after a turnament around his time instead of his wife, Princess Elia Martell.)
