iv started watching the show and then bought the books, im wondering should i start at the second book or just from book one. did the show leave out some stuff ? any info would be great thanksGame of thrones books and show?
the show did a great job on staying true to the book, but if i was you i would read the books, there are alot more characters and houses not mentioned that come into play in books 2 and three.
if you want to the quick and fast way- you can skip to the book 2, did the show leave anything important out nope.
but its sometimes the little things that are the important onesGame of thrones books and show?
You could just start at book 2 if you've watched the show. There's nothing that was left out of the book that would throw you off, just tidbits and necessary changes because of the change from book screen. I would recommend that you start with the first book, though. There are houses and characters that are introduced, if only in passing, and a few introductions to plot lines in book two that you want to acquaint yourself with. It won't be a waste of your time!!!Game of thrones books and show?
The HBO series did do a really great job of sticking with the book but you should start with the first book. There are some elements that are different (like the ages of the Stark childre, Joffrey, Daenerys, etc.)
And, of course, there were some things left out and slightly different.
The screenplay is by Martin, who also wrote the books, so the shows follows the book very, very well. However there are nuances and other things that just don't make the translation from print to screen very well. I recommend reading the book.
