Should i read a game of thrones?

Hi, i recently finished watching the first season of game of thrones and dont know if i should start the book or not?Should i read a game of thrones?
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the writing is SPECTACULAR and will always keep you guessing. it's very interesting to get into each character's mind and see why they do things, or how things really happened (such as the king slaying)



however, the last two books dont have as much as action in them as the first three, mainly because the first three revolved around a war.Should i read a game of thrones?
Definitely, the books are fantastic (well the first three are awesome, the jury's still out on book 4 because I haven't finished it yet, hahaha). I actually watched the first season, then spoke to a friend who was reading the books and he said he had never watched anything so spot on with the original book. I started reading book 2 and was able to follow it without reading book one. I have since gone back and read book though and it is pretty bang on. George RR Martin is a fantastic writer, I've really enjoyed what I've read so far.
