I have fallen in love with the new HBO series Game of Thrones and I'm really interested in reading the books. Is this a good Idea or are they very different from each other? From what I've heard, the series stayed pretty true to the books. Thanks.A Song of Fire and Ice: Should I read them?
Read the books! There are things in the books that simply couldn't be put into the series or couldn't be done as deeply. And besides, the books are the original. Read them!A Song of Fire and Ice: Should I read them?
The books are ALWAYS better, I've only watched a few episodes(I have to wait for them to come out on DVD and he price to drop a bit :( ), but they seemed to be pretty close to the books, except for the fact that Tryion did NOT whore in Winterfell, he's much too classy. The series is actually pretty darn close to the books, with only a few minor differences. The books go into more depth, of course. :)
