to fix the internet problem you need to open network %26amp; sharing control panel and reest the local area connection.( dymanic ip addresses keep changing ips when one gives out, so when it changes it might change to a bad ip, reseting the connection might give it a working one.)
take the battery out of your laptop and check the voltage on it. try buy a new charger that has the voltage around the area of -0.5 or +0.5 of the same voltage is has now and see if the new charge works.

3. Use your charger without the battery and see if it still gives you problems. if it doesn't then the battery is going bad.

It's probably still under Dell's warranty (I'm assuming that there is one), I would see if you can still get it repaired or replaced.
I think most laptop companies are going cheaper on materials and build quality. The quality of a laptop today is much worse than a laptop from 5 or so years ago, in general. I returned a crappy Dell studio 15 I bought during best buy's exchange period, and got a different brand that I am satisfied with.
