I need to wipe out my Dell and start all over again.Any advice?

My Dell is an 8250 desktop and is very,very slow.Not sure what to do,any advice would be helpful.I need to wipe out my Dell and start all over again.Any advice?First, back up all of your important files onto a Flash Drive, or CD. Make sure, that all of your important programs that you want to keep can be re-installed. Then, after you got everything backed up (you can also use Windows Live Sky Drive to back up things: skydrive.live.com) restart your system. Then, at start up (when the Dell logo appears) hit CTRL + F11 immediately. Then click restore. It will re-install Windows, and wipe everything off, and restore everything to factory settings, and all the programs that came with your computer, when you first turned it on.I need to wipe out my Dell and start all over again.Any advice?
I would just reinstall. And yes, you should get Ubuntu Linux, a very, good, fast, reliable and easy-to-use distribution of Linux. Just go to the website, download, burn a disc with it (with a program such as infra recorder), put it in the disc tray, and restart your computer. It should say something like "press F8 to boot off of disc" or something like that. Press F8 to reinstall, and, everything should be gone and you can start over. You can also do this with other operating systems. NOTE: Be sure you backed up ALL of your important files.I need to wipe out my Dell and start all over again.Any advice?once you wipe it out dig a deep hole and cover it with cement. then buy something other than a dell. but if you insist on keeping the thing take everything you want to keep off of it (pics, music, etc) and put in your recovery disk. install updates, anti virus, anti spyware, and make sure they are up to date.
If you are going to use the restore disk then that will have all the drivers and apps on it. If you are just going to use a XP install disk, make sure you download all the drivers and put them on a flash drive or whatever.
