How do I transfer my itunes music library/individual songs from my old 2005 Dell laptop to my new Macbook Pro?

I just recently purchased a MacBook Pro that came with a free itouch, and I am wondering how I can get my songs off of my old dell laptop to my new MacBook Pro. I have my songs on my old ipod nano and I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but hopefully someone can answer me.
