How do you get the built-in microphone to work on the Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop?

i have a Dell Inspiron 1545 lap top and the built-in microphone won't work. It won't let me Skype or record any sound on the voice recorder thingy. First double click on the speaker icon in your system tray (located in the lower right hand corner on your screen).

Then click on "options", select "properties", and click on "recording" button, make sure that "microphone" has a check beside it and click OK.

Make sure that the volume slider for the microphone is set somewhere in the middle and click on the check box below it.

Go to audio and download both files then go to input device driver and download 1.3 mp camera when finished install all 3 files one at a time.

try going to dell.com and search for some drivers
