What do you think of my idea for my second novel?

I don't want to give the game away on here, but I recently had my first novel published. You've probably read it, it documents one mans struggles to comprehend his homosexuality in a world where there are no dogs.



Anyway, I'd like to know what you think about a few ideas I've been floating around for my follow up.



The main body of the book is going to focus on one character in particular, a lion called Simba. Simba's uncle Scar is mad because he knows that with Simba's birth, he is no longer heir to the throne. So he lures Simba into a trap involving a stampede of wildebeast, where Simba's dad (Mufasa) ends up dieing to save his son's life. Simba ends up leaving the pride to live it up with a comedy duo consisting of a meerkat and a warthog (Timone and Pumba). Long story short, Simba comes back to overthrow Scar by pushing him off a cliff where his once-loyal minions devour him. The book will end as it began, with a monkey holding a lion.What do you think of my idea for my second novel?
