Does the Copper Mod for the M1330 Dell Laptop really help prevent the nvidia GPU from getting fried?

Nvidia admitted that the reason for the low heat tolerance of the affected GPU's is due to a weak die/packaging material used to manufacture them. Does anyone know if nvidia has changed the materials used to manufacture these GPU's for better heat tolerance? Dell changed my M1330 laptop motherboard 2 days ago. How do I know if the GPU in it is the improved one?Does the Copper Mod for the M1330 Dell Laptop really help prevent the nvidia GPU from getting fried? If they just replaced it then most likely it has been fixed. This problem with the nvidia cards was discovered a little while ago, so I'm guessing they have stopped manufacturing faulty parts :)
