Am I doomed?

First of all, I'm not really a religious person. I have read part of the book Genesis though (till chapter 31).



A few weeks back I had a dream in which I was in heaven, right in front of God, who was sitting on his throne. He said "the price for what you can do is isolation" and "You must give me 10% of your *** (can't remember)

After he said that I looked back and saw that 2 white pillars (there were a lot of pillars in heaven) were transforming into demonic faces... They laughed at me. (demonic laughter)

Then I woke up, back to my original dream (I was dreaming that I was standing somewhere, and IN THAT DREAM I fell asleep, and entered another dream (the one involving heaven)



I am having problems with loneliness lately...it never bothered me before (I was a computer game addict) but now I am desperate to find someone I can connect to..someone to love. I get the terrible feeling that I am doomed to be alone...forever..

I know that probably makes no sense, but still.Am I doomed?
Well if you relied on yourself to get yourself into this mess then rely on yourself to get yourself out.



First thing first, looking at it from a girls point of view, no one's going to date you if you don't have a life, which means having goals and hobbies. Just like you wouldn't want a girl that just layed around on the couch all day and expected to be in the same position in 10 years as she is now.



I don't know what you do in life or as a job but you have to find something with meaning to you. Like a job that makes a difference or change in humanity maybe like an engineer or scientist or the medical field. If not that then maybe something more exciting for you like a cop or military or something artistic like a graphic designer or musician, jobs that inspire people.

Second of all some kind of hobbies where you meet people other than video games, paintball, martial arts, hiking, sports, cars, motorcycles etc.



You have to make a life for yourself so that when you do meet someone they don't leave you the next day because you're a void of nothing. Like I said you have to rely on yourself.



I can say I love video games too, Resident Evil, Medieval 2 Total War, Rainbow Six... I turned that love of video games into making money on the stock market because trading stocks and options is a lot like a game. I easied into it, first reading a couple hours a week on trading stocks, than an hour a day, than after a year I was reading and watching CNBC almost 5 6 hours a day to make money and now I use that money to buy stuff and go to school.

So, you have nightmares. Everybody does. Do you know what nightmares I have? They fall into two types. One is being crushed by falling machinery. The other is being persecuted by other people who disagree with my lifestyle.



It's just your brain, trying to come to terms with the big, bad world out there.



Relax, chill out, count to ten, and then make a cup of tea. I can assure you, you'll feel a whole lot better.
Sounds fantastic heh - doomed in what sense? I mean if you're going to hell then there's no problem because you said you weren't religious so just don't believe an you'll be fine
No, you're not doomed, you're depressed. If you can manage to do so, seek counseling from a mental health care professional.



Meanwhile, break out of your isolation. One of the very best ways to forget your own troubles is to help those who are in far worse situations. Consider volunteering your time to a food bank or some such charitable organization. My local paper is full of such opportunities and yours may be too.

Sounds like a Rocky Road and sardines nightmare. There is nothing wrong with living alone.
Well until your faith in God kicks in then yes you are doomed...You had a dream that looked just like a play i went to see about heaven and hell. the people play out their death and their faith levels then they would go to heaven and Gabriel would be like your name is not in the book of life and then deamons would come out the wood works and take the person to hell if thats what they was suppose to get. I dont know what to say about the girl situation. I know when I start loosing faith in God, my life becomes shambles and when I have high faith and tithe my 10% I always have money and I always have a light heart and good company.
It was just a dream. There are no gods. Don't worry about it.



Get out and meet people it the best advice I could give you, join a club, meet with like minded people.
No one who cares as much as you do can ever be doomed. When you give up all hope, that's when you're doomed. To me you seem to be searching.
If you were doomed, you wouldn't have a choice to accept Jesus Christ, it would've been made for you. Nor would God be "warning" you.



There's more to life than playing video games. THAT doesn't allow you to do or become anything else. And at the end of your life, whether you believe in Jesus Christ and look forward to heaven or not, how sad is it to say, "But I can play so-and-so video game better than anyone else".



Get out, meet people, become active. Volunteer to be a big brother and teach kids to play video games. Find out their interests and goals. Share yours.



I don't claim to know the meaning to your dream, but a pillar is a stationary object. And the fact that yours became demonic is (I believe) a warning to you that remaining "stuck" is a ploy of Satan. Don't allow that! Live!



Jesus Christ commands us to work for the Kingdom of God. What are YOU doing to help promote His kingdom? (Going to church, reading the Bible, praying and fasting isn't enough.) I mean, why did God create you? What's your purpose? Discover it and do it. THAT is your personal ministry (and we ALL have one/some).

God does communicate to us sometimes in dreams (we know that because the Bible speaks of it), but Satan also can influence our thoughts and so, also our dreams. In this case, since you heard demonic laughter, I would say Satan knowing of your loneliness, is making the best of a bad situation. (The coward always kicks the one who's already down). You're NOT doomed because loneliness is not of God. He promises "Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord, shall be saved." This means saved from anything - loneliness, despair, fear, poverty, whatever. Who is this "Lord"? Jesus is Lord. If you call on Him in sincerity, He will not disappoint you. May God even now, call in from the 4 courners of the earth someone really, really special to be your companion.

I suspect that you've answered the question in what you've said. You commented that you've had a solitary lifestyle %26amp; am looking elsewhere the dream seems to be experiemting with that. Using symbols that you might find familiar to help you - it might not be a religious dream as such, just one using familiar symbols. Returning to the same dream suggests this is important to you.



There is a long running Xian tradition of tithing which I suspect is the 10% you were refering to. I'd sugest that you're trying ot tell yourself to look at adding something extra to your life - maybe something that is not just for your benifit.



I try %26amp; do a "tithing" kinda concept in deed if not money - doing a fair bit of volunteer work. With your computer skills I'd suggest seeing if there's something like a Senior Inernet lessons or somehting along those lines.

well the bible says that in the last days I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, prophesy, dreams etc will follow, not all dreams are spiritual, but many are- infact that is the number 1 way God spoke in the Old Testament. I think everyone goes through times where they feel lonely. Draw closer to God, and He will fill that void, and you can get involved in a church to fellowship with others. Shake that doubt off and stay in the word!!- The bible will encourage you!Those that seek the Lord lack no good thing.
