There are 3 methods you can try.
Method 1 - Reset password from another Administrator account:
Log on to Windows by using an Administrator account that has a password that you remember. You may need to start Windows XP in Safe Mode (to boot in Safe Mode, hit F8 repeatedly at the boot up screen).
Click Start.
Click Run.
In the Open box, type 鈥渃ontrol userpasswords2鈥?
Click Ok.
Click the user account that you forgot the password for.
Click Reset Password.
Type a new password in both the New password and the Confirm new password boxes.
Click Ok.
Method 2 - Try command prompt for the "reset password trick":
Log in with any valid account.
Open the command prompt.
Type: net user (you should get a list of accounts)
Type: net user Administrator *
Type: net user (any account on that list) *
It prompts for a password. Enter one, then enter it again when prompted to confirm.
Then try to log on as 'Administrator' with your new password.
Method 3 鈥?Using third party password recovery tool
Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download Windows Password Recovery from http://www.recoverlostpassword.com/produ鈥?/a> and install it on that PC. (Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD/DVD or a USB flash drive)
Get out the newly created CD/USB and insert it to the locked computer.
re-booted the locked computer (it's necessary for you to change your computer's Setup to make it boot from CD drive or USB drive) and then followed the process of instructions. Just a few steps, the old password was removed.
logon PC without password and setting the new password.
