Is it easy to do upgrade Dell or other branded desktops?

Wondering if it's easy to do upgrades (such as add ram, change video cards, add optical drives) onto Dell PCs. Do they have proprietary standards, sizes that make it difficult to upgrade in the future?

Yes, its not difficult to upgrade parts. The only thing about Dells is that there is not a lot of room for expansion.
