Need good book suggestions....?

^Yes title says it all.

If you'd like to know, I prefer fantasy/historical/medieval sort of literature with really good writing/style

I also like stuff that gets on with the action and isn't too slow.

I enjoyed Harry Potter, LOTR (and anything by tolkien), the Phantom of the Opera (though it was a little slow at the start).

I read The Hunger Games, Vampire Academy and Game of thrones (recently) they're digestible but i didn't read the sequels. I could not complete Fallen, it was terrible.

Um yeah, not a fan of first person POV and chicklit or romance (I like tragic romance, though).

Suggest away, I don't really mind though...you can ignore what I just said. I just need stuff to read

Thanks.Need good book suggestions....?
Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell is a great example of historical fiction. Romance is a big part of it, but there's a lot of other stuff going on--trying to survive the Civil War, moving on with your life after tragedy, death, etc. The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas is also historical fiction. It's got a lot of action and mystery and political intrigue and just lots of gasp-worthy scenes in general.

I don't know if you'd like Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, it's a science fiction/horror and it's really intriguing. Chilling at times, and overall sort of depressing, but a great read nonetheless. It's first person, though--it's told through a series of letters.

You mentioned you like tragic romance... Ever read Wuthering Heights? Depressing, unhappy romance. Great read, though. Author is Emily Bronte. It's also first person, sorry... but it's basically not, since the people telling the story aren't really huge characters.

Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones--along with Harry Potter, but you've read that--are my favorite fantasy novels of all time. It's got romance in it, but the main point is that the main character was turned into an old woman and needs to be turned back, so she seeks the help of a notoriously evil wizard.

Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz is amazing. It's a fantasy-mystery. The main character sees dead people (sort of like in The Sixth Sense, but totally not) and helps them move on; mostly this involves finding murderers and bringing them to justice.

I haven't read the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, but my sister did and really liked them. They're a fantasy-adventure series.
Fantasy, swords, and tons of action. I would recommend Crescent, by Jorge Vielma.

Synopsis:

Ire Veil, stricken with amnesia, is the lowest ranking Black Heart, the elite right hand of a research facility known as Genesis. Their sworn duty is to steal, sabotage, and murder without question. When Ire recovers the memory of a beautiful woman, he must decide whether to go against the Black Hearts and pursue his unknown past or continue to serve Genesis at the expense of his uneasy conscience.Need good book suggestions....?
I can name a few books I really enjoyed. I didn't like Fallen either. I enjoy scifi fantasy

- The Maxium Ride Series

- Go Ask Alice (its a biography of a teenager that had accidentally experimented with drugs.

- Ghost Girl (not my favorite)

- The Twilight Saga

- Exposed (one of my favorites)

and I just started My Name Is Memory. It's the only one on this list that's not in 1st POV. But I would definitely recommend these books. Hope I helped.
Anne McCaffrey's 'Dragonriders of Pern' novels. Fantasy-SciFi

The Devil and the White City by Erik Larson, about the building of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, AND what may be America's first serial killer (and really never surpassed by others)

Anything written by Alison Weir - she writes about English Royalty, mostly the Tudors.

'Agincourt' by Bernard Cornwell. A novel set in the 1300s about the English campaign in France.

'Point of Impact' by Stephen Hunter. (Made into the movie 'Shooter' with Mark Wahlberg)Need good book suggestions....?
...I'm addicted to The House of Night. Kind of tragic romance cause she's like cheating on many guys and stuff...It's more into the fight between good and evil, friendship and betrayal. I enjoyed it alot and was one of the only books I can read more than once. (I'm picky with storybooks) The problem is that it's on first POV....
The Host by Stephenie Meyer is my favorite it has adventure, mystery and a very interesting love triangle that involves aliens, it's a little sad but it's a great book.

I've started to read Water For Elephants as well and it's definitely a great book so far and a very interesting read.
Eragon is a pretty good series, and Inkheart. Cirque Du Freak is an awesome series, I never read the last book though.

I love Harry Potter :D Nothing can compare
The Hunger Games (The Series)

Child 44

Paper Towns

Spy X (The Series)

Those are the best books, I've EVER read!
