Those particular books are still under copyright. Downloading them without paying for them is illegal. Anything published before 1923 is in the public domain and can be downloaded for free legally - go to gutenberg.org and browse their selection. Try the online downloads section on your public library's website. Most libraries have a fairly broad range of kindle books for download now.
