so im looking for fiction books that were wrote to accompany the tv show. any suggestions?

if you can only think of books that inspired the tv show (e.g. game of thrones, vampire diaries) then that's ok but please put them in a separate list.

Generally you are right it is the TV shows that are based on books rather than the other way round however in the Sci-Fi genre the books often follow the series. The following series have generated a wide range of books, and graphic novels.
