I鈥檝e also read only some of these.

Alice in Wonderland 鈥?7/10. I read it first as a child and thought it a bit nightmarish. Reading it later I appreciated it more, but it still isn鈥檛 my cup of tea.

The Belgariad 鈥?8/10. I quite enjoyed it but preferred the later books. As he continued, I thought David Eddings spent an inordinate amount of time detailing the economics and politics of his imaginary countries. I liked the way he dropped clues to his mysteries which makes one want to read on; however, some of the magic was spoilt by knowing that Belgarath and Polgara would never be beaten by anyone, so there never seemed to be any real danger. One irritation was that he insists on writing in strange accents for some characters, which became very tiring.

A Wizard of Earthsea 鈥?7/10. I also read this a long time ago and thought it good if somewhat bleak.

The Dragonlance Chronicles 鈥?8.5/10. I really liked the Chronicles and Legends; they were full of interesting characters and imaginary lands, and the writers kept the momentum going. We were compelled to feel for the people, and parts were very thoughtful. I read some later books and wasn鈥檛 impressed as much.Out of 10 what would you rate these fantasy books listed here?
I have only read a few of these, so I'll rate only those.

the Wheel of Time (a family member likes the first 5 or 6 of the series but thinks it worsened after that)

Alice in Wonderland (not so much a fantasy but a sociopolitical satire, 10/10)

A Song of ice and fire (name of series, the best I've read, consisting of

*A Game of Thrones 10/10

*A Clash of Kings 10/10

*A Storm of Swords 10/10

*A Feast for Crows 7/10, since it focuses on my least-favorite characters)

the Farseer trilogy (just read this, 8/10, some plot elements foreseeable)

A game of Thrones (see A Song of Ice and Fire)

A Wizard of Earthsea (read it so long ago I don't remember it well enough to rate it)
