What gifts should I put in a get well basket (it's for my dad)?

My dad is getting surgery done in his neck and will be at home for a long time. He hates staying in the house and will probably be very bored. I want to make him get well basket filled with books, dvds, and games to occupy him. I'm not sure really what books and etc to get him. What are some really good war (fiction or non fiction) books and DVDs? I know he likes reading Sharpe. He reads books like Game of thrones too .Also what is a good video game with super heros or war? thats sweet of you. why dont you try and get him something different besides bloodshed.. suduko is a great occupier.. and maybe some flower and bird garden magazines and some prayer books to read and some comedy movies that arent horrible and some good luck finding decent books... slow down look and find stuff its overwhelming.. kids video games are good the sillyones not blood shed.. get him some card games and you play with him. whatever good luck hope JESUS heals you soon..
